The last NL team to win back-to-back World Series was the Cincinnati Reds, who did it in 1975 and '76. Another great team from that period was the Philadelphia Phillies, who won the World Series in 1980, and the NL pennant in 1983. Though both teams were stacked with star players, the common denominator was Pete Rose, who willed himself and those around him to excel.

Feel the fire that Rose kindled with the acquisition of this game-used Louisville slugger model R195 bat. During the defined labeling period of 1977-1979 for this H&B signature model bat, “Charlie Hustle” was with the Reds in 1977-1978 and the Phillies in 1979. The accompanying LOA provides a game use grade of PSA/DNA (GU 8.5). The LOA content describes the authentic use as “exhibits evidence of excellent use with a handle crack; several ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the right and left barrel; there is a light coat of pine tar on the handle." Also cited is “Rose’s player number 14 is written on the knob in black marker." Full LOA from John Taube-PSA/DNA. Opening Bid $1,500.
