Advanced signature seekers make a big score with this Honus Wagner signed and inscribed 1948 government postcard. Wagner (d.1955) was a week shy of his 74th birthday, and still going strong as the Pittsburgh Pirates hitting coach, when he signed this vintage GPC. A bold application, this Wagner signature merits a ("10") rating. Equally bold are the inscriptions penned by Wagner, with the date "2-17-48," the salutation "with best wishes from," and lastly "Pirates 1948."
