Many great ballplayers have come and gone. Throughout the 150+ years of professional baseball play, there have been only a select few whose talents and contributions to the game, can be said to be immeasurable. Two of these elites are found here, with this triple-signed baseball. This nicely preserved ball is a Sears, Roebuck & Co. Ted Williams endorsed model in (EX-MT) condition, with light-cream all over toning. Williams (d.2002) has prominently signed ("8.5") on the sweet in blue. Joining "Teddy Ballgame" in the signing of this ball, are Jackie Robinson ("8", d.1972) in blue on the north panel; and Carl Erskine ("8") in black on the west panel. Reports are easily found stating Erskine was a celebrity guest instructor at the Wildcat Baseball League Clinic in Fort Wayne during the 1960s, and at his request Williams, Robinson and other MLB legends made visits to this benevolent Mid-West youth league. It's a good bet this signed ball was presented to a fortunate Fort Wayne youth during the '60s. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $500.
