The Notre Dame family suffered a tragic blow on 3/31/31, when beloved coach Knute Rockne’s plane went down near Bazaar, KS., killing Rockne and seven others. From the season directly following Rockne’s demise, comes this 1931 Notre Dame football program partial run (5/9). Each of these antique programs includes a tribute to the legendary coach, and the opponents are all from high profile universities.
