Formatted with a square white base, this classic figure dates from the period 1961-1963, when Roger was as the peak of his slugging form. Standing approximately 7-1/2" tall, this handsome nodder takes the field in very pleasing Nm condition. A hairline crack in front of the left ear is skin deep, affecting only the surface paint, and is barely perceptible to the naked eye. There is also some very minor crazing in the hair, and a couple of pinpoint breaks on the facsimile autograph base decal, one of which is a factory flaw. All in all, this is a magnificent piece, well worthy of serious consideration.
