"Rapid Robert" celebrates a major milestone, with this 1954 Cleveland News Type I photograph (Vg-Ex). As credited on the reverse, along with a "May 1954" stamp, this 8x10 photo was taken by George Hixon. Cleveland Indians ace Bob Feller is pictured seated on the locker room floor, with baseballs arranged to commemorate his 250th MLB win, which came on 5/23/54. The first professional American athlete to enlist for WWII military service, Feller would have easily made the "300 Wins", and "3,000 Strikeouts" clubs, had he not missed nearly four full years of playing time during his prime. Editorial marking are noted at the corners, and the borders bear light to moderate wear, while the image area remains very attractive. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
