From 1933-1959 "The Three Stooges" starred in 190 short films for Columbia Pictures. As this lengthy theatrical run was ending, the Stooges shorts began showing up on TV in 1958 and through syndication broadcasts, cable providers and streaming sources, their brilliant slapstick productions are still running. Shortly after the Stooges shorts started airing on TV, Fleer jumped on the bandwagon to the delight of cardboard collectors. The fruit of Fleer's labor is reaped here, with this 1959 "The 3 Stooges" complete set of (96) cards. One of the top post-war era non-sport issues, this collector favorite series features scenes from the period when the Stooges line-up was Moe, Larry and Curly. An honorary pie in the face goes to the diligent consignor that assembled this very pleasing set, which is populated with quality examples front to back. In addition to choosing desirable examples, this set's assembler has gone the extra mile by housing these crisp, clean cards in a binder decorated on the front cover with an illustration that replicates a 1959 Stooges wax pack wrapper, while the back cover features replica images of the trading cards.

Key cards are: #1 Curly (EX), #2 Moe (NM), #3 Larry (EX-MT)

The balance of (93) cards range as (90% EX-MT to NM-MT, 10% slightly lesser)

Highest grade cards include: #26, 38, 56, 60, 74, 77 and 89.
