5x3 Free Frank signature framed to 13x11; located at top right Buchanan's ("8") strength signature shows stylish flair with the word "Free" written just above and a "Free" stamp below that just barely makes contact with the bottom of the signature. A postmark stamp at left reads "Lancaster, Jul 25" from the Pennsylvania city where Buchanan resided during his adult life and from which he served as a State Senator (1814-1816) and also as a U.S. Senator (1834-1845) and Congressman (1821-1831).
