Non-Sport card seekers enjoy a fantastic opportunity with this 1938 R69 Gum Inc. Horrors of War near-set of (286/288). Gruesome, gory, fascinating, intriguing, however you choose to describe it, this controversial series is one of the most important sets in the non-sport hobby. Disturbing but artistic portrayals and equally grizzly text are unflinching in their depiction of the bloody wartime atrocities and ravages that shook the continents of Europe, Asia and Africa during the 1930s. These timely cards were masterfully marketed to an audience that was captivated by ongoing events in 1938 and has remained a major collecting staple ever since.
