The Cobra strikes, with this Dave Parker signed and inscribed Oakland Athletics stadium seat back. Batting in the heart of the order as the A’s DH, Parker struck a home run in Game 1, and an RBI double in Game 2, to help Oakland sweep their Bay area rivals, the San Francisco Giants, in the 1989 World Series. Parker has commemorated the occasion in A’s gold on the Kelly Green seat back, with a potent signature and the inscriptions “89 WSC, Cobra”. In addition to the mighty “Bash Brothers” sweep, the ’89 World Series is memorable for being struck by the Loma Prieta earthquake, about half and hour prior to the start of Game 3, which was postponed for twelve days due to safety concerns. History is at hand, so strike hard for this authentic stadium piece.
