Description

Wheaties served up some tasty treats, with the issue of these (4) 1937-1952 premiums. Sports related giveaways from the popular cereal brand have long been a hit with collectors, and these vintage items rank among the best Wheaties has offered.

Featured are:

1937 Breakfast of Champions 5" diameter milk glass cereal bowl reports in Ex-Mt+ condition, with red silhouettes of famous period athletes showing strong color integrity, including Joe DiMaggio, "Red" Grange, Bob Feller and "Babe" Didrikson.

1952 4-3/4" x 5-3/4" tin photograph trays near-complete set (3/4) averaging Vg-Ex to Ex, with Hall of Famers Stan Musial, Ralph Kiner, and Phil Rizzuto. Reportedly, these were issued glued to the backs of a cereal boxes, and all three trays have adhesive/paper residue on the backs, with no ill effect on the fronts. All have factory hole punches at top center, to facilitate wall hanging. The tray required for completion is Jackie Robinson.
