Lot # 1809: 1958 Baltimore Colts Team-Issued World Champions Jacket Patch in Framed Display

Commemorate the Baltimore Colts first ever championship, with this team-issued 1958 World Champions jacket patch. We’ll never know whose jacket this patch was taken from, but there were plenty of Hall of Famers and fan favorites on the ’58 Colts squad as potential candidates. Following a stellar 9-3 regular season, the Colts faced the powerhouse New York Giants in the NFL championships game. This overtime struggle came to be known as “The Greatest Game Ever Played”, and the Colts came out on top with a 23-17 sudden death win. Featuring the classic Colts logo inside a football outline, this vintage treasure is set against a Colts blue fabric, in an attractive 12-1/2” x 10” wood frame, with a silver finish. Though moderately stained/soiled, this proud memento displays a strong degree of detail integrity and plenty of authentic charm.
