Description
Graded POOR 1 by SGC. "The Chairman of the Board" stands proudly on the offered 1951 Bowman #1 Whitey Ford rookie card. This debut of the New York Yankees Hall of Fame southpaw is decently centered with only moderate corner/edge wear, a crease-free surface, and vibrant surface colors. The original owner stamped the bottom right of the reverse "May 10 1951" in dark ink which accounts for the overall assessment. Presents much better than the assigned technical grade.
