Description

"Slinging Sammy" Baugh arrives sevenfold, with this selection signed and unsigned 8" x 10" photographs. A 2X NFL champion with Washington Redskins in 1937 and 1942, Baugh was one of the NFL's first star quarterbacks. He was also pretty darn good at the safety and punter positions, making it easy to see why he was a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's inaugural 1963 Class. Here we see Baugh in (7) photographs, including (4) that are signed, and (3) that are not. All of these photographs are crisp and clean with distinct images, and the signatures are as bold as it gets.

Featured are:

(4) Signed photographs with individual JSA COA/sticker: 1) sidelines shot with signature and "H.O.F. 63" inscription, signed and dated "Dec. 4th, 1949" on the back by photographer Abbie Rowe (d.1967); 2) locker room shot with signature and "H.O.F. 63"; 3) game action shot with signature only; 4) minor league baseball shot in St. Louis Cardinals affiliate uniform with signature only.

(3) Unsigned photographs that appear to be vintage prints, with:1) seated in trophy room; 2) looking at a newspaper; 3) seated at a desk covered with stock certificates.
