Description

Graded POOR 1 by SGC. Only 15 total copies of the offered 1905 Rotograph Postcards 1904 New York Giants real photo team composite have been evaluated by the authenticator. A total of 16 members of the National League Champions are pictured including Hall of Famers John McGraw (center in formal attire) with the remainder being uniformed players including Roger Bresnahan and Joe McGinnity. The preprinted notation “New York Nationals Champions 1904” appears below McGraw’s image. The photographer’s credit appears in the lower right corner. Produced by noted Boston photographer Carl Horner, as noted by his credit stamp in the lower right corner. The reverse displays a traditional postcard back, including a credit line for The Rotograph Co., New York. With exception to front/back written notations along with stamp/postmarks, this 121-year-old correspondence piece still presents in fine condition.
