Description

The Magic of Disney is manifested in carboard form, with this 1930s Post Toasties Cereal Box panel collection (60+). Playing the lead role in this spectacular presentation of cutouts and games, is Disney's first animated star Mickey Mouse. Joining the lovable cartoon rodent, are Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Snow White, Pinocchio, and other familiar characters. The majority are full panels, though a small number are partial panels. A dozen are white paper sheets with cutouts glued on, with 50% of these sheets bearing cutouts on both sides of the page. The edges are typically irregular, and the great majority of these vintage panels show bold colors against dark-cream backgrounds. A small number bear creases, and one nearly complete box is stained and darkened. Some panels are printed with either "WDP" (Walt Disney Production) or "Walt Disney Enterprises", and some have printed dates ranging from 1935-1938.

A few of the more interesting panels are: "Mickey Mouse's Baseball Game", "Mickey Mouse's Radio Program", "Mickey Mouse Presents The Whalers", "Mickey Mouse's Hot Dog Stand", "Mickey Mouse's Train", "Mickey Mouse the Musician", "Mickey Mouse Presents Pinocchio", "Mickey Mouse Presents Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", "Mickey Learning to Skate", "Mickey Mouse's Football Team", and "Mickey Mouse Presents Ferdinand the Bull".
