Description

Graded POOR 1 by SGC. From the season in which Hank Bauer earned American League Most Valuable Player votes arrives this equally regal 1953 Stahl-Meyer Franks example. The portrait of the clutch New York Yankees star is replicated from the 1950 and 1951 Bowman issues but is captured on a much larger scale. Aside from a stamp near the lower right corner along with a series of perimeter wrinkles and a surface contusion, the future 1966 Baltimore Orioles World Series skipper still features overwhelming eye appeal. Additionally, the blue-and-red text on the reverse is also problem-free. Only 13 total copies of this New York area issue have been judged by SGC in any condition!
