Lot # 1503: 1998 Grand Slam Ventures Champions of Golf Masters Collection Gold Foil Set in Album Pair with Tiger Woods Rookies

Deluxe tandem of 1998 Grand Slam Ventures Champions of Golf complete sets of (63) cards each. This limited collection features every Masters winner from 1934-1998 and is noteworthy for including a pair of Tiger Woods rookie cards (one PSA EX-MT 6, one EX-MT). Each "green jacket" is stored in a decorative 9-7/16 x 9" information page with a card slot and documentary text regarding the player's triumph in Augusta. The three-ring pages are designed to be housed in a green-and-gold leather binder with embossed letters reading "Champions of Golf - The Masters Collection." On the interior of the albums, facsimile autographs of Masters winners grace the inner covers. On one album all three rings display mild-to-moderate separation while on the other album only one ring shows slight separation. Each album and average (NM) set is housed in handsome 12-1/4 x 10 x 3-1/4" packaging with glossy black surfaces and gilt lettering. Despite moderate storage wear, including one box displaying surface creasing, the overall presentation is admirable.
