Blast off to another dimension with this complete and original 1969 Topps Man on the Moon unopened wax box. An otherworldly container that houses (24) unsearched wax packs with each pack containing 10 cards for a total of 240 cards. The display box features a colorful illustration of two astronauts exploring the surface of the moon with Earth visible in the background. The set title is boldly printed in yellow. This set was issued by Topps at the height of excitement generated by space exploration. The front of each card features a brilliant color photograph capturing some facet of the space program during the 1960s, ranging from test missions and simulations to actual images from space as seen by orbiting crews. The final card in the set is dedicated to the crew of Apollo 11, who would become the first men on the moon on July 20, 1969. The box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The display box is bright and bold with only a hint of light shelf wear visible.
