Description

Elect a classic figure to your collection, when you cast the winning vote for this 1960s John F. Kennedy football player bobblehead doll. Judging from the caption on the base, this piece was issued while Kennedy was the sitting president from 1961-1963. An obvious reference to his younger brother, the caption reads "I Don't Care If You Are Attorney General You Were Off Side!!". Robert F. Kennedy served as U.S. Attorney General at the same time John was occupying the White House. A passionate sports fan, JFK played football during his school days. Stamped "Japan" under the base, this vintage bobblehead depicts Kennedy wearing a lopsided helmet, while cradling a football. Signs of wear includes a few small spots of surface paint loss on the helmet, a small chip on the right helmet flap, a small chip on the underside of the head opening, a 1/2" hairline crack on the back of the head extending from the head opening, and a few flecks of surface paint loss on the back of the base. These conditions are all minor, and overall this piece remains broadly appealing.
