Lot # 1346: 1960-1970 Football Bobblehead Collection (13) with (8) Figures & (5) Boxes

An excellent opportunity to grow your figure collection significantly knocks, with the offering of this 1960-1970 football bobblehead bundle (13). This vintage assortment is populated with (8) figures and (5) boxes, representing NFL, AFL, and NCAA teams.

Featured are:

1960-1961 NFL San Francisco 49ers red square wood base with raised jersey numbers and lettering, and red foil Japan sticker Ex, has a 1/2” hairline crack on the left side of the head, moderate wear and soiling on top of the helmet, and moderate erosion around the head opening.

1961-1963 NFL Baltimore Colts blue square base with raised helmet logos, jersey lettering, and jersey number, has a red foil Japan sticker, Vg-Ex with a few dings on the jersey letters, a bit of white showing through on the front of the base, light soiling on the helmet, and moderate wear around the head opening. The head tilts slightly to the right, and there’s a small glob of adhesive on the top of the neck stem.  

1960s Generic bobbleheads (3) with: 1) green round base with 1962-dated copyright stamp is customed for the Princeton Tigers, Vg-Ex with a hairline crack on the back of the helmet, a small chip on the front of the helmet, and moderate wear around the head opening; 2) green round base without team affiliation, sports Baltimore Colts colors, and is stamped “Patent Pending Japan”, Vg with multiple hairline cracks on the back of the helmet; 3) gold round base without team affiliation, sports Green Bay Packers colors and has a Sports Specialties sticker, condition is Ex+ due to moderate wear on the helmet stripe, there are also factory flaws in the form of a green swath of paint on the back of the base, and a spot on the head opening where the glaze didn’t take.

1968-1970 Gold round base bobbleheads (3) with: 1) AFL Kansas City Chiefs with Pro Novelty sticker is Ex due to moderate erosion around the head opening, and a few pinpoints of scattered wear, otherwise very impressive with bright paint and strong decals; 2) AFL Cincinnati Bengals with Sports Specialties sticker is Ex+, with a bit of paint flecked off the surface of the head opening, and the head tilts slightly left; 3) NFL St. Louis Cardinals with Pro Novelty sticker is Vg-Ex with a a couple of short hairline cracks and a spot of paint flaking on the back of the helmet, and moderate wear around the head opening, otherwise bright, glossy and attractive.

Boxes (5) are generally solid with moderate wear, with: 1) St. Louis Cardinals; 2) Cincinnati Bengals with the team name crossed off and “Kansas City” written at bottom of the labeled panel; 3) Green/Gold likely for the generic Packers-like figure; 4) with the team name mostly faded away, appears to be Washington Redskins; 5) without labeling, has writing on the bottom end panel.
