Description

Believed to be salesman's samples created to entice retailers, these scarce paper sheets are a great find for advanced non-sport collectors. Presented are six 1941 R157 Uncle Sam and R158 Uncle Sam's Home Defense uncut paper sheets, with 12 cards per sheets for a total of 72 cards. These fairly crisp, well-preserved sheets show light to moderate wear, and remain very appealing with clean surfaces, vibrant colors, bold text, and white borders. Issued just prior to America joining WWII, these timely Uncle Sam cards demonstrated the preparedness and might of the U.S. armed forces.
