Description

Gridiron glory came to Baltimore, when Hall of Famers Johnny Unitas, Lenny Moore and Raymond Berry led the Colts to back-to-back NFL championships in 1958-1959. Celebrate this regal dynasty, with this 1958-1959 Colts NFL champions framed display. Professionally mounted in 27” x 24” silver frame with blue matting for the team’s colors, this grand display houses an ensemble of gameday and other souvenirs.

Main attractions are a 12/28/58 program from Yankees Stadium versus the New York Giants; a 12/27/59 program from Memorial Stadium versus the Giants; a 1958 ticket stub; and a 1959 full ticket. Also featured are a white pin with “Love Them Colts Our Champs” legend; a blue pin with Colts logo and NFL Shield logo; a “World Champions” napkin; and a “Baltimore Colts World Champs” license plate with NFL Shield logo. All elements present handsomely, with the 1958 program showing EX+ details, and the 1959 program showing VG details. Both tickets are pleasing, with the 1958 stub showing VG-EX details, while the 1959 full ticket presents closer to NM details, with deference to moderate rippling.

Founded in 1953 from the wreckage of the short-lived Dallas Texans franchise, the Colts march to eternity in 1958 culminated with their first championship win, in a contest famously known as “The Greatest Game Ever Played”, and this dynamic display is a rocking reminder of the Colts initial taste of greatness, and their fantastic follow-up.

Due to the framing method, local pick-up is encouraged.
