I don’t quite know how to say this, but you should really not be concerned about any letters which come to you beginning “Dear Mrs. MacArthur” and ending “Ronald Reagan!” The letter you received, dated November 17, is a computer-printed letter from the Republican National Committee - - not from your old friend Dutch. Your generous support is what got you on that list in the first place, and I don’t want you to concern yourself about this type of solicitation. After all, if it wasn’t for the kindness you and Pete showed to a young man fresh out of college, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today. The love and care you have always given are the most important contributions I have ever had.
