In the October spotlight following Bobby Thomson’s “Shot Heard ‘round the World,” 20-year-old rookie Willie Mays and the New York Giants squared off against Mickey Mantle and the Yankees (both HOFers World Series debuts) in what would be that team’s fourth successive Fall Classic conquest. Assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this full printer’s proof ticket served as the template for Yankee Stadium vouchers issued for Game 1 of that Subway Series. The lone graded specimen, this colorful “Mezzanine” voucher features the host's “Top Hat” logo and, as a proof, no section, row or seat designators.
