The T206 White Border set is considered complete with exclusion of the “Big Four”. The Honus Wagner, Eddie Plank, Sherry Magie (Magee), and Doyle NY Nat'l (hands above head) are this set’s quintessential rarities. These four baseball cards have traditionally represented the pinnacle of rarity, desirability and value in the baseball card world. Presented is a PSA 1 Sherry Magie (Magee) error with a Piedmont 150 Subjects reverse. The card does exhibit wear consistent with the grade to include moderate edge wear and several creases. The card’s overall presentation is still appealing and constitutes a major victory for the T206 collector. The card does display light glue residue and minute paper loss. The scarcity of this card is rarely matched in the industry and this is the paramount “error” card. In comparison to the (67) PSA graded examples of this extremely rare “error,” there are (28) graded T206 Honus Wagner singles and (769) graded 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle cards.
