S66 Silk premiums issued by the American Tobacco Co. (circa 1910) include a complete set of (6) Native American Chiefs. Each measures 4-5/8 x 6-5/8” and has a printed identifier of “Factory No. 649 First Dist., N.Y.” along the lower border. The pieces are respectively numbered “L-1” through “L-6” and retain stunning colors. Minimal edge fraying affects most. Also included is a 4x6 piece from the same era.
Also included is a 20x20 bright-red blanket on which (21) 1910s silk premiums have been symmetrically sewn. These include an S66 large at the center (fraying and separation throughout) surrounded by (7) S34 National Flags; (8) S9 1912-1915 Butterflies; and (4) Tokio Cigarettes S67 Native American Chiefs.
Also included is an early-1900s hand-held cardboard fan distributed by a Cedarville, N.Y. proprietor.
