Great Philadelphia Phillies teams and players are honored with these (3) 1980s commemorative bats.
Headlining this trio is a 1980 World Champions Louisville Slugger (MT) in sealed bag. This was the first Phillies team to ever win a World Series. Facsimile player autographs ring the barrel in gold lettering, with Steve Carlton, Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose, and “Tug” McGraw, along with the rest of the squad, and manager Dallas Green.
Next up is a 1983 National League Champions Louisville Slugger (MT) in sealed bag. Limited edition numbering is “444/800”, and an 1883-1983 Phillies Centennial logo is located next to the factory labeling brand. Player facsimile autographs ring the barrel in black lettering, with Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton, Pete Rose, Tony Perez, Joe Morgan, and “Tug” McGraw, along with the rest of the squad, and manager Paul Owens.
Rounding out this selection is a Juan Samuel-signed Louisville Slugger, which rates as (NM) due a 1/2" abrasion on the back of the barrel. Applied in gold, Samuel’s (“8”) strength signature coordinates nicely with the gold facsimile signature and Philadelphia Phillies lettering. Also seen on the barrel is limited edition numbering of “166/650”. No authentication for the autograph due to time/cost restraints. Opening Bid $50.
