A brighter tomorrow was dawning in 1954, when the St. Louis Browns franchise rebranded as the Baltimore Orioles following a move eastward. The Browns didn’t have much luck in St. Louis, but things moved onwards and upwards after the relocation to “Charm City,” and a dozen years after the move the O’s would be champions. Commemorate the team’s first season in Baltimore with these (2) 1954 inaugural season publications. Featured are a yearbook (VG) with a classic rendering of the team’s “Bird” mascot spotlighted on the front cover; and a program (VG) with an unused scorecard for a game against the Athletics who were in their final season at Philadelphia.
