One of Sci-Fi's earliest adventurers reaches out from the 25th Century, with this 1979 Topps Buck Rogers unopened wax box. In 1977, George Lucas' beloved first Star Wars movie opened the floodgates to an outpouring of classic sci-fi movies and television shows. Introduced in 1929, Buck Rogers had fallen out of the spotlight by the 1970s, but the futuristic hero rode the wave of the period's sci-fi boom through two thrilling television seasons with Gil Gerard as Buck, and Erin Gray as Wilma Deering. Actors Gerard and Gray are depicted in character on the lid of this 36-count box, which is wrapped in fairly solid condition with a clean, vibrant lid, and moderate wear on the side panels.
The entire box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange, owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material. Opening Bid $100.
