Ephemerists enjoy a field day with this 1907-1971 multi-sport and non-sport ephemera treasure-chest assortment. Baseball legends Ty Cobb, Joe DiMaggio, Pete Rose and other greats of the game, are joined by boxers, race horses, decals, birds, and fine art, to make this well-rounded selection a smash hit.



Featured are:



1961 Field Enterprises 8x10 Ty Cobb death notice news service photo, with a very early image of Cobb is (FR) due to surface loss on the top border, that does affect Cobb. The reverse is covered with editorial notations and credit stamps, including “Deceased Sun Times Jul 18 1961”.



1937 R342 Thum-Movies Joe DiMaggio flip book (GD-VG).



1969 Transogram 3-card panel (FR) with Pete Rose, Willie Mays and Cleon Jones.



1951 Topps Red Back cards (2) both (EX+): #37 Wes Westrum, #49  Al Zarilla.



1930s Detroit Tigers assorted premiums (3) average (FR): Hank Greenberg, Mickey Cochrane, Charlie Gehringer.



1950s Louisville Slugger ads (2) average (VG-EX to EX), one with Babe Ruth, Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio, one with Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra and Ernie Banks.



1971 Todays All Stars (37) pieces are generally crisp, with: (1) complete album with Clemente, Aaron, Rose, and Seaver; (2) loose pages, one with Clemente and Aaron, one with Mays and Seaver; (34) back covers only with interior side oval portraits of many baseball stars, including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, ted Williams, Jimmie Foxx, Walter Johnson, Ty Cobb, Sandy Koufax, Rogers Hornsby, Honus Wagner, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Cy Young, and Hank Aaron.



1930 Famous Sporting Prints Boxing folio (VG-EX) with (8) very handsome plates of 18th and 19th Century bare-knuckle brawlers.



Circa 1940s Hollywood Photographic Arts Magic Photo Finish boxed set of (20) racehorse photo cards ranging (VG to EX). The box is fairly solid, with deference to one split corner on the bottom tray.
