Let’s slow down and take it all in as we examine this 2011 Derek Jeter signed game-used bat. Playing in era when major leaguers jumped ship like mercenaries, Jeter stayed faithful to the New York Yankees throughout his entire 20-year career. By the time the 2011 season rolled around, “Mr. November” had collected 5 World Series rings. What he had not done by that point was collect his 3,000th career hit. That milestone was reached on 7/9/11, when Jeter belted a home run off David Price of the Tampa Bay Rays, during a game he went 5 for 5.

An outstanding souvenir from Jeter’s milestone season, this crack-free Louisville Slugger black bat is a P72 model with “New York Yankees” and a facsimile Jeter autograph on the barrel in silver lettering. The knob is stamped in silver with “9/16/11, 34.0/32.0.” Excellent use is evident, with multiple contact marks, baseball stitch impressions, cleat marks, and general wear on the barrel, along with a healthy coating of gripping agent on the handle. Jeter has signed on the barrel with (“8”) strength, by means of a silver felt-tip pen. Steiner COA/hologram sticker.
