For the advanced collector seeking the finest, we are pleased to present this 1927 New York Yankees and Boston Braves multi-signed baseball, blessed with a stunning "Babe" Ruth autograph.
Both the New York Yankees and the Boston Braves conducted their 1927 Spring Training sessions in St. Petersburgh, Florida. Undoubtedly, the offered 1927 Yankees and Braves multi-signed baseball hails from the sunny shores of the popular Florida beach town. A Rawlings State League R15 model (EX+), this ancient orb is period signed by (9) players, with (6) Yankees, and (3) Braves.
Decorating the sweet spot, is perhaps the finest example of “Babe” Ruth’s autograph we have ever come across. Identifiable from across the room, this stunning Ruth signature rates as (“8.5”), and takes up nearly all the real estate available on the preferred sweet spot location.
The other (8) blue ink, steel-tip fountain pen autographs range (“7” to “9”) in potency, with: north panel: Jack Fournier (d.1973, Braves); south panel: Tony Lazzeri (HOF, d.1946, Yankees), Henry Johnson (d.1982, Yankees), Joe Dugan (d.1982, Yankees), Bob Meusel (d.1977, Yankees), Bennie Bengough (d.1968, Yankees); east panel: George Mogridge (d.1962, Braves); west panel: Eddie Moore (d.1976, Braves).
Accompanying is the ball’s original factory box, with the same logo on two side panels that match the Rawlings factory logo stamp on the baseball’s west panel. Displaying a solid shape and a clean surface, this box retains all 4 long flaps on the top and bottom panels, however only 1 of 4 short flaps remains attached.
In summation what you see here is a truly potent autograph from baseball's brightest star, playing for the sport's most storied team, during the greatest season of all-time, with full authentication, and the original factory box, which has protected this amazing treasure for nearly a full century.
