Following up on its 1967 Wacky Packages die-cut series, Topps issued the large format Wacky Ads die-cut series in 1969. Designed as parodies of famous brand products, these zany cards led to a big payday for Topps, when the format was changed to stickers in the 1970s. From 1973-1975, they were Topps best sellers, outperforming even Topps baseball card line.
