The AFL was young when the Buffalo Bills took the field for their third season of play in 1962. Head back to this formative period with this selection of (5) 1962 Buffalo Bills full tickets from War Memorial Stadium. Featured are: 11/3/62 vs. Boston Patriots (2); and 12/3/62 vs. Dallas Texans (3). This was the third-and-final season of play for the 1962 AFL Champion Dallas Texans, who moved to Kansas City as the rebranded Chiefs in 1963.
All AFL gameday souvenirs from this era are tough, tough, tough. This pleasing group takes the field in very handsome condition. The left end of the stubs are printed with "Season Price $35.00". The Bills had 7 home games in 1962, and each of the offered tickets has a face value of $5.00, indicating these tickets are from season packages.
Supporting this notion are staple holes on the plain white area at the far left end, from ticket booklet removal. The left end tabs are not actually part of the tickets, and all would still be considered full tickets without the tabs that read "Season Price $35.00" attached. The far-right ends of the tickets are printed in orange, making them condition-sensitive to even the slightest wear. Ignoring the extraneous tabs with the staple holes, this group of (5) full tickets technically averages (EX to EX-MT+), though with deference to corner wear on the condition sensitive right end corners, they all present fresh off the printing press quality, with immaculate surfaces, razor sharp edges, and abundant obverse gloss.
Opening Bid $150.
