The back page of this edition has a quarter-page composite photo of the Saint Louis Cubs, apparently a local independent baseball team. Among the pictured players are future Negro Leaguers Oscar Hutt and Fred Bostick, who both went on to play with the St. Louis Stars/Giants. Other players include J. Wilson, C. Smith, J. Dixon, C. Quiney, H. Hall, J. Kuntz, E. Tyler and manager, Jas. Fuqua.
