With a lock on the Gold Glove award at his position for a decade and a half, the great Brooks Robinson was still holding down the hot corner in elite fashion in 1975, for his one and only MLB team: the Baltimore Orioles. In a showing of support among teammates, Robinson did battle at the plate with this 1975 game-used Louisville Slugger bat, which was turned for catcher Dave Duncan. A facsimile of Duncan’s signature is burned into the barrel of this model B267 bat, and Robinson’s player number “5” is written on the knob. Graded PSA/DNA (GU 7), this nicely preserved bat is not cracked and displays excellent use including contact marks and baseball stitch impressions on the barrel, and pine tar and tape on the handle. Full LOA from John Taube-PSA/DNA.
