This circa 1966-1967 Baltimore Orioles cap, size 7 ¼ by Wilson Sporting Goods, is 100% wool and features the smiling bird Orioles logo. The inside cloth sweatband has significant wear. A BB-sized moth hole is visible through the front. The number 14 has been inked on the underside of the visor, attributing the cap to Orioles coach Gene Woodling, who has signed the visor (“8-9”). As a player Gene Woodling enjoyed a significant 17-year career, earning 5 World Series rings with the Yankees and batting .318 in World Series play.
