Class act Mathewson held down the center spot on the source pillowcase, with an approximate 7x9 panel replicating his pose from the 1910 S81 tobacco silk series. Framed to overall dimensions of 12-1/2 x 26", the offered silk features the Mathewson 7x9 panel at center, with segments of a baseball diamond, and various pieces of equipment stitched together in red above and below. The overall presentation is outstanding, with great period appeal, despite moderate age toning, and original period horizontal folds.
