Things go better with Coca-Cola, and pretty much any piece of ephemera goes better with a Ted Williams autograph. Williams and Coca-Cola go together very nicely with this Williams signed 1940s broadside. Though never officially recognized, the image of the batter on this Coca-Cola sponsored sign sure as heck looks like “Teddy Ballgame”. Printed over the batting image, is the promotion of a Franklin Dodgers game at Hayden High School Park. Franklin is a small town in rural southeastern Virginia, and the Franklin Dodgers are believed to have been a semi-pro team. Instead of bearing the name of Franklin’s opponent, the line is signed in red by Williams with (“8”) strength. Sized at 13x21, this broadside is professionally framed to overall dimensions of 19-1/2 x 28”. The broadside presents in excellent condition, and the frame is serviceable, with several small spots of pant wear. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
