For decades, North Carolina fans have been treated to witnessing elite talents in action during the annual ACC Barnstorming Tour. One of the most dynamic stars to participate in this exciting tour was the University of Maryland’s prolific scorer Len Bias. Slam dunk the winning bid for this Bias 1986 ACC Barnstorming Tour event-worn jersey. Produced by Nike, this #34 Maryland jersey is a red and white reversible model, with a size “L” factory label attached to the tail.

Two separate accompanying Letters of Provenance from the longtime organizers of this popular ACC tour, brothers Mike Sumner and Robert Sumner, both state this jersey was given by Bias to Robert. The LOA from Robert also states “Leonard described it as his Maryland practice jersey and while he did not wear it during the barnstorming games, he did wear it for photographs and appearances with fans. The jersey has never been offered for sale (privately or publicly until now) and is in substantially the same condition as when I received it from Len in the Spring of 1986.”.

Other than a light stain on one of the white numbers, this jersey presents in excellent condition with bold colors and tremendous display appeal. Tragically, Bias died in June of 1986, shortly after the barnstorming tour, having never suited up for the Boston Celtics who drafted him with the 1986 #2 overall pick. Obviously the supply of jerseys worn by Bias is very small, making this is a golden opportunity to score a handsome example with impeccable provenance. Opening Bid $2,500.
