Heed the call of the Bat-Signal, and take up the chase for this 1940 DC Batman #1 comic book. One of the cornerstones of the comic book collecting hobby, this important first issue is one of the most valuable and prized comics of all-time. Though coverless and stained, we went ahead and had this long-secluded Batman #1 issue encapsulated by CGC, to insure the preservation of this classic comic. As is customary with CGC in regards to coverless comics, the label bears an (NG) designation, for "no grade". Also noted on the label are: "Cream Pages. 1st appearance of the Joker & the Cat (Catwoman). Hugo Strange appearance. Bill Finger story, Bob Kane & Jerry Robinson cover & art." During our examination of this comic, prior to CGC submission, we noted the pages as being sturdy and the colors remain strong.
