September 21, 2008, marked the final game played at the old Yankee Stadium, the one that had been refurbished back in 1973. The new stadium, which was literally built across the street from the old one, would usher in a new era of Yankees baseball starting in April of 2009. Presented is a replica lineup card from that historic 9/21/08 game that has been filled out in red sharpie. The Yankees prevailed that night, 7-3, over the Baltimore Orioles. The sharpie shows the available players and the moves that were made by Joe Girardi, whose blue marker pennings projects (“10”) potency and decorates the top left of the lineup card.
