Eleanor Roosevelt's 1949 memoir, This I Remember, was one of four memoirs she wrote. This one covers the governorship and presidency of her husband, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It was well-received by critics and was a commercial success. This is the Limited Edition Autographed First Edition by Harper Brothers Publishers. The page after the title page with her autograph states: “Of the first edition of This I Remember, 1000 copies have been printed on special paper, specially bound, numbered and signed by the author. This is copy 123."

 

The book is a solid EX-NM copy, the slip cover has some faint staining on the bottom but presents nicely, and the First Lady’s signature is (“8-9”). Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $100.
