Coming off back-to-back NFL Championship wins in 1958 and 1959, the Baltimore Colts were a hot ticket. With an exciting squad led by Hall of Famers Johnny Unitas, Lenny Moore, and Raymond Berry, loyal fans knew it, the players knew it, and the front office most certainly knew it. One way team management let fans know where they could purchase their prized tickets was with the offered c.1960s Memorial Stadium hung sign. Sized at 44" x 28", this cardboard promoter shows a moderate degree of age-appropriate wear, mainly occurring around the perimeter including some surface loss at the corners. Lettered in black and red, this sign directed fans to the “W-2 Windows” with a big red arrow and the proclamation “Colts Tickets on Sale.” The name “Eutaw Signs” is written near the bottom left corner, indicating the local Baltimore company that supplied this vintage point-of-sale sign.
