Films, literature, and devoted readers have benefitted greatly from the work of the authors and screenwriters, found in this collection of (4) signed flats. These dearly departed writers made significant contributions to American literature during the 20th Century, and a fair share of their work made it to the stage, movies and television. Signature strength averages ("8"-"9"), and the materials are attractive.
Featured are:
Carl Sandburg (d.1967) 3x5 index card with a tape stain over the signature;
F. Hugh Herbert (d.1958) Samuel Goldwyn Productions check dated 4/18/52 for his work on the film Our Very Own, endorsed by Herbert on the back with contact by bank cancellation perforations, and signed on the front by two Goldwyn executives;
