The 27th President of the United States, William Howard Taft, had a trustworthy face. Don’t take our word for it, judge for yourself with this stunning c.1908 presidential campaign flag display. Sized at 23" x 25", this antique campaigner is adhered along the top edge only, to a 27" x 39-1/2” foam backer. Condition of this scarce survivor is exceptional with only minor signs of wear and soiling. An oval insert frames a distinct image of the handlebar-mustached candidate, who is nattily attired and neatly groomed with a piercing gaze. The stars and bars of “Old Glory” remain bold, and minimal edge fraying is noted.
