Compared to the packed houses of today’s NFL, the fledgling AFL typically played in front of light crowds during its 1960 inaugural season. Facing the New York Titans on 10/16/60 at War Memorial Stadium, the Buffalo Bills played in front of a hometown crowd of 14,988, in their third ever home game. Served up red hot is a 10/16/60 Buffalo Bills full ticket. This well-preserved ticket has emerged from six and a half decades of seclusion to merit a grade of (NM-MT 8) from leading certification service PSA. You’ll find this gorgeous ticket at the top of PSA’s Pop Report, where it stands alone as “1 of 1” at this level, with absolutely none graded higher. Multiply the scarcity of 1960 AFL inaugural season relics by this superior grade designation and the result is a unique treasure.

This full ticket is from the collection of a savvy consignor, who has held and protected a good number of 1960s AFL game full tickets since the dates of her original purchases in the 1960s. A total of six PSA-graded 1960s AFL tickets from this collection are included in this current Huggins and Scott Summer 2024 auction, along with two graded 1950 AHL hockey tickets and a bundle of 1980s-1990s tickets, which are not graded. More top grade examples will follow in our coming Winter auction.

Opening Bid $250.
