An imposing figure at 6' 5" tall, Chuck Connors suited up for play in both the NBA and MLB before turning to acting for a forty-year career. Known best as "The Rifleman," Connors (d.1992) is seen here as a member of the Boston Celtics in an 8" x 10" photograph. Showing just minor touches of wear on the corners and edges, this sharp photo is signed by Connors with ("9.5") strength, by means of a blue felt-tip pen. Connors inclusion of the date inscription "1946" suggests this later date print was originally taken during his NBA rookie season, which is counted as the NBA's first season of play.
