Forty-two years after his 1982 passing, we're sure "Satchel" Paige is still pitching on a heavenly field somewhere. While earthbound, Paige made his American League debut in 1948, at the age of 42, after 21 years in the Negro Leagues. The well-traveled barnstormer continued pitching in exhibitions through 1966, and summed up his longevity with the quote “Age is a question of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it don’t matter.” Set your mind to the task of capturing this Paige single-signed Chicago White Sox baseball. This autograph was acquired by an adoring fan sometime during the 1950s-1960s, and it has been entirely enhanced, with the result presenting as a ("6") strength signature. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
